DJ Pauly D gets Lawsuit of 4 Million

Paul Lis of South Windsor, CT, claims to have spent four decades building a reputation as “DJ Paulie,” before DelVecchio began calling himself “DJ Pauly D” on television.

“He formally trademarked the name ‘DJ Paulie’ and then came the Jersey Shore, which basically wiped him off the face of the map,” attorney Jose M. Rojas told the New York Post‘s NewsCore.

The lawsuit, filed in US District Court in Hartford, asks for $4 million from MTV, Pauly D, and a list of his other employers, including The Palms Las Vegas, where he works as a paid DJ.

4 Cast Members Tried to Walk Off

Jersey Shore Season 5 started production in Seaside Heights just two weeks ago and already Vinny and Mike ‘The Situation’ have stormed out of the house. Vinny was gone for about a week and was only recently convinced to return by his co-stars. The Situation reportedly got so fed up he also walked out, threatening to quit the show for good. He, too, has since returned. MTV has since issued a threat to fire any cast member that walk out.
