“Russian Dolls”, the Jersey Shore of Russia?
The Russian TV show, “Russian Dolls” is trying to capture some of the overwhelming success that MTV’s hit show, Jersey Shore, has seen. Production on this new Russian version of the Jersey Shore began last year. Apparently, the show is set to air August 11th on Lifetime. Angelina Pivarnick Miscarriage
You all remember Angelina? She revealed that she had a miscarriage, and is putting part of the blame on the media and on the lack of support from the baby’s father. She appeared on the show “Father Albert” (see video below). “Everyone in the tabloids and media weren’t really leaving me alone about it,” Pivarnick said in the interview. “Basically I wanted it to be my personal business, and it really wasn’t. Ryan Seacrest Reality Show Shahs of Sunset
Ryan Seacrest, of American Idol fame, in connection with “Real Housewives” network, Bravo, is in talks to develop a Jersey Shore copycat show based on Los Angeles’ Iranians and titled “Shahs of Sunset.” “The series will offer rich characters and relatable storylines about everyday life — love, work, friendship and family — steeped in a diverse culture, which is wildly entertaining and fun,” Seacrest said in a statement. “Armed with chromed-out cars, logo-ridden purses and designer outfits, they’ve got it and they’re not afraid to flaunt it,” Bravo said in a statement, while adding that the group also “knows the value of family and tradition.” Source: LA...

DJ Pauly D gets Lawsuit of 4 Million
Paul Lis of South Windsor, CT, claims to have spent four decades building a reputation as “DJ Paulie,” before DelVecchio began calling himself “DJ Pauly D” on television. “He formally trademarked the name ‘DJ Paulie’ and then came the Jersey Shore, which basically wiped him off the face of the map,” attorney Jose M. Rojas told the New York Post‘s NewsCore. The lawsuit, filed in US District Court in Hartford, asks for $4 million from MTV, Pauly D, and a list of his other employers, including The Palms Las Vegas, where he works as a paid DJ.
